Sat Feb 28, 2009 at 05:23PM
| Time: | 12:00 PM | Cond: | Semi-Clean |
|
| Surf: | 1-2ft+ | Crowd: | 20-25 surfers | |
| Wind: | SSW 14 mph | Tides: | H10:01AM - L04:12PM |
SAT PM: We have some occasionally fun sets still trying to push through this afternoon with a hard wind and swell direction out of the south. Knee to thigh high with an occasional waist high set still possible. It's looking a little cleaner than earlier (wind is more SSW now), but it's still on the small side so bring the small wave board if your headed out for a check. We could see some new NE windswell for the first half of next week. Check back for more details on that. Water temp 61°F.

SAT: Looking similar to yesterday morning but with more south wind and swell direction today. Looked pretty small at first glance... then a decent set come through. So it's inconsistent, but there are still some ridable ESE swell in the water running about knee to thigh high with a occasional waist high set. There could still be a few fun + set waves coming through especially over the next few hours as the tide pushes back in (H10:01am). I'd bring the small wave board if your headed out for a check. Further out, we could see a new NE windswell event for the first half of next week. Check back for more details on that. Water temp 61°F.

FRI PM: Still some lazy, but ridable ESE swell in the water this afternoon. Knee to thigh high with a waist high + set possible. Overall it's on the small side... but there are a few fun set waves still coming through. I'd bring the small wave board if your headed out for a check. Ridable E/ESE swell expected to hold through Saturday. Further out, we could see a new NE windswell event for the first half of next week. Check back for more details on that. Water temp has warmed up a little 62°F.

FRI AM: We still have a ridable wave this morning. It actually looks a little bit smaller than yesterday morning though. Knee to thigh high with a waist high +set possible. Hopefully we'll see a little bump over the next hour or so with the incoming tide push (H9:38am). Overall it looks like it may still be worth a check. Ridable E/ESE swell expected to hold through Saturday. Further out, we could see a new NE windswell event for the first half of next week. Check back for more details on that. THURS AM: Waves are looking kind of fun this morning! We have incoming tide conditions at report time (H8:45am) with surf running about thigh to waist high with an occasional stomach+ set possible. Calm winds with only 3 guys at. Not pristine shape... but pretty decent compared to the past few mornings. Overall I'd say it's worth a check if you need a surf. The forecast is calling for ridable E/ESE windswell to hold through Saturday. Check back for the latest. Current water temp 61°F.

WED PM: Waves are finally looking a little better this afternoon! We continue to have ridable leftover windswell in the water around the thigh range with an occasional waist high set. The wind and drift has backed off and it doesn't look as weak as it has been. Overall I'd say it's worth a check if you need a surf. If we're lucky, we might even see some slight improvement towards this evening with the incoming tide push (H 8:20pm). Further out, the forecast is calling for a new E/ESE windswell to fill in and hold through Saturday. Check back for the latest. Current water temp 59°F.

WED AM: We continue to see some marginal NE wind swell in the water this morning. Looks about knee to thigh range with an occasional plus set. The wind and drift has backed off a little overnight so it is looking slightly better than yesterday morning at this time... the early morning high tide is helping things a bit here at the pier too. Overall it's ridable... just looking weak and disorganized. The forecast is calling for a slight increase in E/ESE windswell into tomorrow and then holding size and conditions through Saturday. Check back to stay on top of it. Current water temp 59°F.
