JAX PIER - THURS 1PM: HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE! We continue to see a little ridable wave out there this afternoon at the pier. Again nothing great form wise, but still some thigh to waist high peaks coming through. Weak & mushy, but overall kinda fun if you have the right small wave gear. Smaller surf expected over the next few days. Water temp: 60°. SPONSOR NEWS: THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SPONSORS for the dedicated support throughout the years! Without them SJP wouldn't be here so make sure to use their products or services and SUPPORT LOCAL!

JAX PIER - THURS AM: HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE! We have a little leftover ridable wave to help celebrate. Nothing great, but there are some thigh to waist high peaks coming in right now with the higher tide (H7:14am). Looking a little weak/mushy, but overall kinda fun compared to yesterday. I wouldn't expect this to last much longer with the dropping tide here at the pier so I'd give it a check sooner than later if possible. Smaller surf expected over the next few days. Water temp: 60°. PIER WEDNESDAY PM REPORT: Not looking very ridable this afternoon at the Pier. It's in the waist high range but the only wave I saw ridden was a guy who rode in on his belly. Maybe as the tide comes back in and the wind keeps blowing we might see more of a ridable wave this afternoon. Make sure you check our POLES report too, should hold these conditions a little better than the pier. Water temp: 60°. JAX PIER - WED AM: Continued cold weather this morning with marginally ridable ENE lines in the water. Looks about knee to thigh high... possibly a few waist high sets still possible. Looks like most of this swell is missing us due to the hard N angle to it. A drive down south today might be your best bet today. Otherwise, we could see some possible improvement later this afternoon once the tide turns around, but overall wouldn't expect too much. Make sure you check our POLES report too, should hold these conditions a little better than the pier. Water temp: 60°. JAX PIER - TUES PM: Not looking so good right now. Still chilly out with sunny skies. Knee to thigh occasional + with a side-shore chop on it from the N. Wind is forecasted to go NNE by afternoon. Make sure you check our POLES report too, should hold these N wind conditions a little better. Water temp: 60°. JAX PIER - TUES AM: Ok, now it's REALLY COLD! Low 40's air temps and 60° water... winter is here. Despite the cold... and if you have the right equipment, there are still some ridable weaves out there. Knee to thigh with some stomach + sets on occasion. The pier has more of a side-shore texture to it this morning with the wind now out of the NNW/NW. Wind is forecasted to go NNE by afternoon, so I'd give it a check this morning if your looking for cleaner conditions. Make sure you check our POLES report too, should hold these NNW wind conditions a little better. Water temp: 60°. PIER MONDAY PM REPORT: Weak but pretty fun looking surf coming in at the pier this afternoon. It's in the waist high range but with the strong offshore wind blowing it's holding the faces open. Grab your small wave board or longboard and give it a go if your still on holiday vacation. Check back in the AM to see if we get some more swell filling in.Water temp: 60°.
