JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Sunrise Surf Shop is presenting its annual Pier Pressure Surf Contest on Saturday, POSTPONED TO NOVEMBER 1st at the Jacksonville Beach Pier. Top local amateur and professional surfers are expected to pull out all the stops as they compete for cash and prizes including a $1000 check for the top finishers in both the longboard and shortboard open pro divisions.

Spectators are sure to be dazzled by the amazing group of Northeast Florida competitors who are currently some of the hottest surfers in the country! These local athletes have recently won titles at top national contests including the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, CA and the East Coast Surfing Championship in Virginia Beach.

Divisions include boys (14 & under), juniors (17 & under), women’s open, men’s open, and masters for both shortboard and longboard. Come out and check out the new Bill Ballard documentary on the life of pro surfer Matt Archbold. RVCA and Sunrise have teamed up to present the film this Saturday, July 26th @ 9 pm @ The NEW Landshark cafe in Jax Beach.. The Landshark has 5 huge flatscreens, the perfect place to check out this much anticipated new film. Admission will be $5 and their will be a ton of FREE giveaways from RVCA and Sunrise.. Congratulations to our 4man team that just won THE 2008 QUICKSILVER SURF SHOP CHALLENGE held in sebastin Inlet today. 4-8-08!!!! We qualified for the big show in california for a chance to bring home 10,000 once again.. The finalists were . I.W.S, SURF CENTRAL , THE GOODS AND MAUI NIX... CONGRATS TO OUR TEAM.... JAX BEACH PROUD SINCE 75......... Garrett Carmichael, Dane Jeffries, Cody and Evan Thompson were the boys who brought the win back to SUNRISE SURF SHOP... ONE LOVE.. Stay tuned!!!!!!
