We did it! El Cazador placed in our first team tournament. Thanks for all of your support! We took 3rd place out of 42 boats with 3 sailfish. We kicked butt in 1st place the first day with two sails and reeled in the 3rd sailfish in the afternoon of the last day. Second place caught their 3rd sailfish just 45 minutes before ours, so they placed ahead of us. First place went to the amazing Rum Runner. Intimidated by our little panga, they went out deeper and tagged 6 sails the second day to beat us all. The little panga team from Astillero, inlcuding El Cazador, Va Pue & Marlindo, released 7 sailfish all together to show those big boats how we roll under pressure! We all threw back a ton of Dorado, but couldn't beat the winning bull at 46.5 lbs. Check out those photos and the winning wahoo as well. The weather was perfect and we had a blast at the evening festivties. Thanks to Lance, an editor & photographer from Marlin Magazine hung out with us for the trip, so keep an eye out for Nicaragua in the next issue. Thanks to all of you for sharing the stoke with us! See attached photos on our home page and video coming soon. Oh yeah, and we missed some pretty good waves while we were gone gettin' it done! (scroll down for more tournament photos)
