Hey all,

Just wanted to send out a quick post from GHive HQ. You may have noticed we made a ton of changes to the site over the weekend. These improvements are based on everyones feedback since our big launch into cyber space... THANKS EVERYONE!

Here is a break-down of the new features/improvements:

• Updated Navigation - wanted to make it easier to jump around and find what you are looking for.. GHive is meant to be a local surfing resource.. So we want to make sure it is easy to find those local resources.
• Explore/Launch Map - Launch the global map from the top nav or just launch a zoomed in view from your local area.. Sick and quick way to get a break-down on what is happening around you.
•  Updated "Surf Communities" Page - As you know this is where it all goes down.. Surf Reports, Classifieds, News, Events, etc... We've made quite a few improvements here like adding the poster’s location, adding a picture icon, etc. Also, when you click on the "My Surf Community" tab now you will automatically go to your LOCAL community... If you want to see ALL the latest from GHive simply click on the "All Surf Communities" tab at the top.. This page is core to the entire GHive experience so we would love to hear your feedback on this.
• Crew Feature - We've made a significant improvement here.. Your Crew must be mutual now. In other words, you have the right to Accept or Deny any friend request that you have. When you accept someone into your crew you will automatically show up on that persons page. This change was due to popular demand.

We would have gotten to these updates sooner if wasn't for those sick barrels from Hurricane Noel. As we’ve said before, our goal is to make GHive the baddest local surf knowledge resource on the planet. We are constantly refining the system and working on ways to make improvements.
