Stand Up Paddle Board

I am looking to get a stand up paddle board.. I have about 1,000 to spend.. Anyone know any good places to look in town? I heard that Scott Shine can custom shape one...Has anyone ridden one of his shapes? Let me know if you have any info.. It is appreciated...
