Poles Report

POLES REPORT: Still some leftovers this morning. Wind has switched offshore and we have knee to thigh surf with an occassional slightly larger set. Looks like a pretty good south to north drift. Nothing too great but could get some fun ones at the right high tide spot. Winds are supposed to be 30+ offshore so this probably won't last long.

POLES REPORT: Surf has come up out of the SE as expected overnight. Hard-angled with a strong southerly flow to it. Sets are about thigh high plus. Disorganized and mushy at report time. It is still on the small side but should push a longboard or fish if you are into it. May be worth a check when the tide drops out or later this afternoon if/when a little more swell fills in. The buoys look like they have come up about a foot since midnight so maybe it is still filling in. It looks like it will be a windy day with winds out of the south throughout most of the day, temps in the 80's later today with scattered thunderstorms on the first coast. Water temp is 68. POLES SATURDAY REPORT: It's pretty much flat out there this morning. Nothing even somewhat ridable coming through. Doesn't look like we'll see to much improvement today but FORECAST is calling for a slight bump up in SE windswell by tomorrow. Get out and enjoy the day! Check back in the AM to see how it looks!

POLES REPORT: Looking pretty small this morning. Ankle high on the sets and pretty much unrideable. It looks like this small trend continues into the weekend with a chance of small scale short period wind swell on Sunday so it doesn't look like a big weekend for surf on the first coast. So it would be a good weekend to get that spring project done or go fishing.

AM POLES REPORT: Knee high or less with clean form. Still a little bump, sets are knee high, you may be able to get the longboard out at the right tide today. Looks like it will be a nice clear day for the beach with light offshores in the morning and an onshore seabreeze for the afternoon. Air 60 | Water 68

AM POLES REPORT: Swell has dropped off overnight. Still some marginally rideable knee high plus surf this morning. No one out at report time at the poles. There were a couple of guys way up north catching a few small ones on longboards. Overall it's not looking too great right now. Maybe we will see a little something with the tide push this afternoon.

AM POLES REPORT: Wind has backed off and the surf is almost looking fun this morning. Lining up a bit, still on the mush and disorganized side. Looks to be about thigh to wais thigh on sets. Expect the winds to pick up out of the ENE throughout the day. Pick a tide and spot and give it a check.

AM POLES REPORT: Building NE wind swell this morning. Looks to be about thigh to waist high with poor disorganized form at report time. High tide around lunch today with strong NE winds on it all day.
