Sunday Morning: Waist high plus with poor, onshore conditions. Saw some solid chest high sets coming in as well. Steady East winds are on it early and expected throughout the day. This looks like the first of the swell and we should see it continue to build throghout the day and sontinue building until mid week. Sizeable surf is expected all week. We will just have to pay attention to the nearshore wind and tides and we should be in a position to score plenty of plus size fun surf here on the east coast. Alot of folks are heading to the gulf in the hopes of scoring epic surf from Gustav. Either way we should be surfing all week.. What a way to start September!

Saturday Morning: Looking a little more sizable this morning..Thigh high maybe a waist high set on occassion with fair form. It may be the high tide push and early onshore wind giving it a bit more size. Not as clean as it's been the last few mornings but still ok form early. Still have sizable showing up as early as tomorrow from TS Hanna.. Get ready for that. Doesn't look like we will have anything great today but there is a little swell in the water and worth a check if you have the day off and just want to mess around.

Friday Morning: Knee to thigh high with an occassional slightly larger set. Dead high tide with a calm to light offshore wind and decent form. Nothing great today, but still marginally rideable for the small wave equipment, kind of like it has been all week. good news is we have 2 named storms moving in to position on both sides of the peninsula. We have been watching Gustav.. Now there is TS Hanna that has been named over the last couple of days and looks like it is going to be a major swell producer from the east coast, with surf expected to be overhead as early as Monday right in our back yard.. Things are going to be exciting next week.. GET READY

The Poles - UPDATE

| Time: | 01:05 PM | Cond: | Clean |
|
| Surf: | 1-2ft | Crowd: | 5-10 surfers | |
| Wind: | W 7 mph | Tides: | L11:41AM - H06:12PM |
Wednesday Afternoon 12:30PM: Coming off of low tide and we have clean surf in the knee-thigh range.. Looks like it has dropped a bit since this morning and the sets are pretty much closing right on shore. Probably due to the steady offshore wind. It is a nice hot day and there is a small wave if you just want to cool off.. but not much happening up here in the way of surf. Check back tomorrow morning for the morning report.

Wednesday Morning: Clean knee to thigh high surf with an occassional slightly larger set. Very similar to yesterday in size at this time just a little cleaner with the early offshore wind. Right now we are coming off of high tide.. We should see it get a little better towards mid-day when the tide drains out. Nothing great, same smaller scale swell we have had over the last few days but worth a check if you have the morning off. TS Gustav is still on a path for the Gulf...and there are several other areas of interest in the Tropics as well.. Keep your eyes on that.

| Time: | 07:01 AM | Cond: | Semi-Clean |

| Surf: | 1-2ft+ | Crowd: | 1-5 surfers | |
| Wind: | SSW 5 mph | Tides: | L10:30AM - H05:01PM |
Tuesday Morning: Knee to thigh high with a rare plus set. Maybe we'll see it improve a bit through the morning as the tide straightens things out.. Right now it is pretty small and the sets are closing out and/or a little lumpy and weak... But at least it's ridable if you want to come out and mess around. Gustav was just upgraded to a hurricane, this storm is strengthening quickly and on a track that takes it over Cuba and into the gulf right now. You will want to keep your eye on this one, it could be a nice swell maker for the gulf, stay tuned.
