Poles Report

Mayport Poles Surf Report (Saturday 7:00 AM)
Thigh to waist high and building swell out of the SE. Sets are starting to fill in but still not super consistent right now. It's a little mushy and the sets are holding back, just looks like it has a little morning sickness and the tide is just a little off...Also, the wind is clocking a little more side shore out of the south.. We will probably see it straighten out as the tide fills in. It's worth a check for sure. Be sure to check it this afternoon at low tide as well, depending on what the near shore wind does.. If the swell continues to fill in today(looks like it is) and the winds clock a little more offshore this afternoon could be fun. Or just surf now and surf later and take your own notes.

The Poles (Friday 12:00PM) Knee to thigh mush this afternoon with a side shore wind on it at report time. Maybe a loggable set on occassion but not looking too promising.. Let's hope for the best with this new pulse of swell out of the SE forecasted for tomorrow morning. Be sure to check back for the early morning Poles report.

The Poles (Friday 7:25 AM) Knee to thigh high plus mush. Looks a little smaller this morning than it has been. Still hanging around in the marginally rideable range. We do have swell on tap for this weekend. Forecast is calling waist/chest out of the ESE to fill in by tomorrow. Get ready for that

The Poles (Thursday 1:00 PM) Approaching low tide and we have cleaned up, thigh high surf at report time. Breaking a little mushy with a light onshore wind. Still some decent sets rolling through in the waist high range but they are a little spread out. Nothing great but would be a nice warm and sunny afternoon to grab the longboard or small wave board and come out and have some fun. Air temp right now is a toasty 70 F and water temp is upper 50's.. Enjoy the rest of your day.

The Poles (Thursday 7:00 AM) Thigh to waist high with a light onshore wind as we approach high tide this morning. Hanging in there at about the same size though the swell seems to be coming a little more out of the ESE this morning. Lighter winds this morning than the last few days so it's cleaned up a bit. It's worth a check. Be sure to check back for the afternoon update. Air temp 50 F and water temp 58 F. Should be a nice day with temps in the upper 70's.

The Poles (Wednesday 3:00 PM) A little more shape this afternoon at low tide. Onshore wind is still on it and the surf looks to be about thigh high with waist high sets. Nothing too great but still something out there to play around on if you have the afternoon off.

The Poles (Wednesday 7:30 AM) Thigh high plus with onshore mush as we approach high tide this morning.. Looks like a little peak working just north of the poles.  Up and down the beach it is looking smaller than yesterday. Check back for a low tide poles update this afternoon.
